These stock ETFs have climbed the mountain to deliver investors with superior returns.  To be fair, we’re excluding any leveraged ETFs… ETFs that use these performance enhancing drugs aren’t fit for most investors.

Important Details About The 5 Best ETFs For October

Let’s look at the holdings, amount of money investors have put in the ETF (also called assets under management or AUM), expense ratio, and dividend yield.

EGShares India Small Cap $SCIN tracks an index of the 75 smallest Indian companies by market capitalization.  It only has $22.45 million in assets under management.  It has an expense ratio of 0.85%.  It has never paid a dividend.

iShares MSCI Turkey $TUR tracks a market-cap weighted index of Turkish stocks.  It has $375.62 million in AUM.  It has an expense ratio of 0.62%.  It has a dividend yield of 2.74%.

Sprott Gold Miners $SGDM tracks 25 gold and silver mining stocks.  It has $126.82 million in AUM.  The expense ratio is 0.57%.  It has a dividend yield of 0.32%.

Market Vectors India SmallCap $SCIF holds small-cap companies from India based on their market-cap.  It has $204.34 million in AUM.  The expense ratio is 0.89%.   And it has a dividend yield of 1.00%.

Market Vectors Gold Miners $GDX holds 40 gold mining stocks listed on US exchanges.  It has $5.15 billion in AUM.  The expense ratio is 0.53%.  It has a dividend yield of 0.77%.

Can You Make Money With The 5 Best ETFs For October?

All of these ETFs share one thing in common.  They recently made a new 52-week low.  So the strong performance needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

As you can see in the chart of SCIN, the strong 1-month performance is coming off of a new 52-week low.

These five ETFs have the best performance over the last month.  And they deserve to be recognized for this.  But don’t forget, it’s harder to stay on top than it is to get there.
